It was a brilliant moment and I am obviously very pleased with it and proud, and I think my family watching will be very happy with it.‘You have a kind of feeling that you can score,’ he explained, ‘and Harry flicked it to me and there was a bit of time when I did not know whether to go with my left foot or right foot, but I put it on my left foot and that side of the goal was open so I just tried to get it on target.’

Mount had started the game against Montenegro and was not far away from scoring in that match too.‘The other night I had one disallowed for offside and I probably should have scored the own-goal one, but against Kosovo I was focused on coming on and making an impact.’It was a landmark match too for Fikayo Tomori who was also brought on in the second half to make his England debut.
