It's a visit to the champions for Chelsea on Saturday, and our build-up to a big game begins with all the facts and figures you need...

Manchester City vs Chelsea head-to-head record

Man City have lost more Premier League games against Chelsea (25) than they have against any other side in the competition.

Chelsea have won one and lost three of our last four Premier League away games against Man City, including our heaviest-ever defeat in the corresponding fixture last season.

This is just the fifth time in the last nine seasons that Manchester City are facing Chelsea in a Premier League game while below us in the table. The Citizens haven’t won any of the previous four in that time (two draws, two defeats).

City have stopped Chelsea from scoring in five of the last six meetings in all competitions.

Pep Guardiola and Frank Lampard will meet as managers for the first time in a competitive fixture.

Chelsea's away form

On the road, Chelsea have won five Premier League games in a row, scoring a total of 18 goals in those games (3.6 per game on average). The Blues last strung together a longer run of away league victories in December 2016 (six in total).

Chelsea are looking to win eight consecutive away games in all competitions for the first time in our history.

The Blues have scored 18 away Premier League goals, more than any other side this season.

We have, however, conceded 17 goals in our 12 league games, with no side in the current top nine conceding more.

Frank Lampard’s side have the second-best away record in the Premier League this season with 15 points from six games, one point behind Liverpool.

Chelsea landmarks

Frank Lampard is the seventh English manager to win six consecutive Premier League matches, and the first since Alan Pardew in April 2012 with Newcastle.

Chelsea have won six consecutive Premier League games for the first time since May 2017 under Antonio Conte, in our last title-winning season. The last time we managed more successive league wins was between October and December 2016, when we achieved a club record 13.

Tammy Abraham's 10 goals in 14 Premier League games makes him, at 22 years and 38 days, the second-youngest Chelsea player to reach double figures in the competition after Arjen Robben (21 years 342 days).

Abraham has scored the first goal in five different Premier League games this season, at least two more than any other player. Tammy is also the highest away scorer in the league in 2019/20, netting as many or more goals on the road than 15 of the other 19 clubs in the division (seven).

Christian Pulisic has scored five goals in his last three Premier League games, and is looking to become the first-ever American player to score in four consecutive appearances in the competition if he plays.

Frank Lampard’s playing record for Chelsea against Man City was 14 wins, one draw and six defeats, scoring seven goals.

For City, Lampard made 38 appearances scoring eight goals, including one against Chelsea at the Etihad in September 2014.

Milestones

N’Golo Kante’s next appearance will be his 150th for the club.

If selected, Marcos Alonso will start a Premier League game for the 100th time for the club and Mateo Kovacic will start his 50th Chelsea game.

Michy Batshuayi made his 50th career Premier League appearance (Chelsea 39, Crystal Palace 11) in our last outing against Crystal Palace.
