We had a 64.4 per cent share of possession with nobody spending more time on the ball than N’Golo Kante (10.9 per cent). Mateo Kovacic wasn’t far behind his midfield partner (10.1 per cent).

That duo also had the most touches (Kante 127, Kovacic 123), completed the most number of accurate passes (Kante 98, Kovacic 97) and made a game-high four key passes each.

Kovacic registered a Chelsea-high three clearances, and Kante a game-high three interceptions.

Of those players who started the game, Andreas Christensen’s 96 per cent pass completion rate was the best. Kovacic was next in that department (92 per cent).

Overall our pass success rate was 87 per cent (558 out of 644 completed).
