Chelsea’s development squad are back in Premier League 2 action this afternoon when Derby County are the visitors.

As a preview to the action, we look at everything you need to know as we welcome another one of PL2's in-form sides.

When and where

We’re back at Aldershot Town’s EBB stadium Saturday afternoon, kick-off 12 noon.

Form

Andy Myers’s PL2 team are 10 games unbeaten in the league and are still the only side yet to taste defeat. Six wins and four draws place the Blues at the top of the table on 22 points.

The opposition

Derby are Chelsea’s closest competitors, they sit second on 21 points from 11 games – one more than the Blues at the top of the table. The Rams had the chance to take first place on Monday but their hosts, Leicester City, were ruthless in their 4-1 beating of our opponents.

Team news

Myers’s squad has been boosted by the return of development squad captain Marc Guehi and Billy Gilmour in recent weeks – they look likely to be in action again today. After netting a brace, defender Tariq Lamptey was injured in the midweek outing against Walsall and will have to be assessed before today's game.

Last time out

Tino Livramento marked his PL2 debut with an equalising goal at Wolves’ Sir Jack Hayward training ground in our last league game - that point meant the Blues kept their place at the top of the league table. Forward Charlie Brown had the chance to steal all three points but for a stunning save from the home ‘keeper which kept the scores level until the final whistle.

Under-18’s Premier League

Ed Brand’s Under-18s are on the road to Swansea this morning, the unbeaten Blues are a point adrift of last week’s opponents, Fulham – who sit top of the table on 27 points. Swansea are currently 12th placed with five points from 10 games.
