The opening goal of our 2-1 win at Watford, created by Jorginho and finished by Tammy Abraham, has been nominated for the Premier League’s November Goal of the Month award.

It is the first time the striker has been shortlisted this season despite hitting double figures in 13 Premier League games.

Abraham’s ninth league strike of the season arrived five minutes into our trip to Vicarage Road on the first weekend of November. It owed plenty to Jorginho, who picked up a pass from Mason Mount and threaded forward a delicious pass into the striker’s path. Abraham did the rest, lifting the ball into the net with his first touch. Christian Pulisic added a second and we held on for all three points.

Other contenders for the goal award are Harry Wilson (Bournemouth v Newcastle and v Tottenham), Ruben Neves (Wolves v Aston Villa), Fabinho (Liverpool v Man City), Joao Moutinho (Wolves v Bournemouth), Kevin De Bruyne (Man City v Newcastle), Jonjo Shelvey (Newcastle v Man City).

The winner will be announced next Friday 13 December.
