Stamford Bridge will undergo a Plan International takeover for Saturday’s match against Bournemouth as we launch our new campaign to help transform the lives of 10,000 children.

Funds raised for Football for Change will help send footballs to children in communities across the world, as well as supporting football projects that help children learn and thrive.

Frank Lampard is backing the campaign and will be encouraging Blues fans to show their support before kick-off so if you’re coming to The Bridge make sure you’re in your seats by 2.45pm for a special message from the boss!

Players will be showing their support by warming up for the match wearing Plan International-branded shirts, with Stamford and Bridget also proudly sporting charity pin badges. As the team walks out for kick-off they will also be joined by a Plan International mascot.

Plan International was founded over 80 years ago. It all began with child sponsorship to help children and communities most in need. Chelsea has been sponsoring children in Colombia, Ghana, India and Thailand since our partnership began. Winners of a Junior Blues letter writing competition will take part in a penalty shootout at half-time, with their letters being posted out to our sponsored children.

The club is donating £1 from each match ticket sold to the charity and inviting fans to support the cause with donations of their own.

Chairman Bruce Buck said: ‘We should all care about people who don’t have the same opportunities as we do in this country and if we can help others around the world, we should.

‘We’re dedicated to supporting our local community and other communities around the world. We picked Plan International as our global charity partner because we realised that we can really make a difference together. I hope that everyone at the club is proud of what Chelsea does with Plan International and all our other activities run by the Chelsea Foundation.’

The Chelsea Foundation will donate 50 per cent of the day’s 50/50 Raffle proceeds to Plan International, while our catering partner Levy has even created special branded pies for the day, donating 50p from every pie sold at the game to the charity.

Fans unable to make it to the The Bridge on Saturday will also be able to get behind the campaign and show your support by donating online here or by texting* Chelsea to 70800 to donate £5.
