Arranged via the Chelsea Foundation, the group of Blues supporters were invited to see the men’s squad put through their paces at Cobham.The fans and their families watched the players train before meeting them afterwards for pictures and autographs, with Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic among those the fans were most excited to meet.One of our visitors to Cobham was 16-year-old Max Judge, who attended with his mother Lisa, brother Finley and grandad Michael.Max, who is a life-long Chelsea supporter, said: ‘I had a chondrosarcoma in my left thigh. I had to have an operation where they took out the muscle and the nerve down the front of my leg and I finished treatment in August after an intense course of chemotherapy.‘I’m feeling good now though and I was over the moon when I found out I was coming here.‘We watch every game and the best part of today has been meeting the players.’

Max’s mother, Lisa, who is also a fan of the club and in particular Chelsea manager Lampard, said: ‘It’s really good that Chelsea put on days like this, especially for children that have been poorly.‘We was hoping to come in the summer but he was too poorly and so we have waited to come but it has been well worth the wait.‘It’s been brilliant. To meet them is amazing and for them to give us their time is just brilliant.’Among our other guests were Christopher Anstee-Parry, Alexander Ellis and Darcy Selwood.Our Community Day happens regularly over the course of the season with the Chelsea Foundation linking with a range of charities and individuals to arrange visits for worthy supporters and their carers.
