The Paul Canoville Foundation Charity Golf Day will take place on Friday 17 May at Silvermere Golf and Leisure Club with places still available to join the former Chelsea winger on the day.
Canoville played over 100 games for Chelsea in the early 1980s and has a special place in the club’s history as the first black player in our first team, overcoming prejudice at the time. He was an important part of the squad that won promotion to restore our top-flight status in 1983/84.
In more recent times, Paul has worked on projects with the Chelsea Foundation and is a matchday host at Stamford Bridge.

The day itself will consist of 18 holes of golf at the Cobham course followed by a meal, prize giving and the opportunity to win signed memorabilia during the raffle overlooking the stunning Silvermere Lake.
A whole host of Chelsea legends will be playing and in attendance to chat and share stories of their time at the club, with proceeds from the day going to the Paul Canoville Foundation.
The Paul Canoville Foundation works with young people facing economic, physical or mental adversity to build life-skills, resilience and support networks to build a better future for themselves and their community.
