Chelsea eyes on the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl may be taking place on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean but there will be firm Chelsea interest in the fixture ahead of our game in the United States this summer.

We recently announced a match against the New England Revolution at their Gillette Stadium home in Foxborough, Massachusetts, which just so happens to be the home of Super Bowl favourites, the New England Patriots.

The Patriots, who feature star quarterback Tom Brady, are looking to secure their sixth Super Bowl title tonight when they come up against the Los Angeles Rams in Atlanta, Georgia.

We return to the States for the first time since 2016 after the end of the Premier League season, when we will meet Brad Friedel’s side in a Game For Change – aimed to raise funds for international community projects promoting equality and tolerance.

The match will further highlight our important Say No To Antisemitism work, which this week was nominated for a prestigious community award.

Further details on the game, including a confirmed date and ticket information, will be announced in due course.

Playing at the home of the Patriots is not the first Chelsea link with the NFL. On our last visit to the USA, we took part in the first ever event at the Minnesota Vikings’ US Bank Stadium, having previously played at the homes of the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks to name but a few.

We often wonder how Chelsea players would fare at other sports, and ahead of the Super Bowl tonight, we decided to give a few Blues favourites the NFL treatment.
Eden Hazard is just one – you will be able to see more today on our Instagram Story, and don’t forget, you can still get your hands on a very special NFL-style Chelsea jersey.
