As part of our Junior Blues launch this week, five lucky kids won tickets to Monday night’s match against Manchester United, where they were able to experience some incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.
Our winners, William, Sam, Nico, Eesa and Charlie, all got to see the players arrive at Stamford Bridge before the game, obtaining autographs from their favourite stars before taking in the action from fantastic seats in the East Stand. To top it off, they were also able take a half-time penalty on the pitch! All five successfully converted their spot-kicks past Stamford and Bridget, making it a day to remember for everyone involved.
A lucky group of Junior Blues also took over various roles across the club recently, enjoying unique behind-the-scenes Chelsea experiences.
The kids, all competition winners on our brand new platform for young fans, were able to sample jobs around the club, both at Stamford Bridge and Cobham, helping our staff perform their daily tasks.
They were treated to roles such as kitgirl, groundsman, matchday manager, presenter, coach, referee, cameraman and photographer.
We relaunched the Junior Blues website this week after working with kids to optimise our offering to younger fans.
Five more kids, and their parents, will get the chance to compete on the pitch when we host Wolves at the Bridge on Sunday 10 March. You can find out more at www.juniorblues.com.
