The Blues will meet Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League round of 16 with ticket information for the home leg now available.
Chelsea were drawn out first in today’s draw in Nyon, and was followed by the name of Dynamo Kiev, who we met during the 2015/16 Champions League group stage. Highlights of our 2-1 home win are below. We were held to a goalless draw at the 70,000-capacity Olympic Stadium in the Ukrainian capital.
The first leg will be at Stamford Bridge on Thursday 7 March at 8pm UK time. The return in Kiev on Thursday 14 March will be a 5.55pm start UK time, which is 7.55pm local time.
The Blues progressed to this stage of the competition after last night’s comfortable 3-0 victory over Malmo which sealed a 5-1 aggregate success. Dynamo Kiev beat Olympiakos 1-0 last night in Ukraine after drawing 2-2 in the first leg in Athens.
They are currently second in the Ukrainian Premier League, seven points behind leaders Shakhtar Donetsk. Twice winners of the Cup Winners' Cup, they count Andriy Shevchenko among their former players. Last season they reached the Europa League round of 16 where they were beaten by Italian side Lazio 4-2 on aggregate.
Among the other ties elsewhere in the draw, Arsenal will play Rennes, Petr Cech's former club, Napoli take on RB Salzburg and Valencia meet Krasnodar.
