When it comes to dressing-room banter, Callum Hudson-Odoi is usually at the thick of things!

Callum Hudson-Odoi has revealed what sport he would have looked to move into if he wasn’t a footballer and takes aim at Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s apparent lack of pace!

Our teenager winger, who netted the opening goal in our weekend FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge, is the latest Chelsea player to speak to our official app – The 5th Stand – as part of our ongoing feature, ’90 seconds with’.

Callum picked ‘sport’ as his chosen category and spoke about the two other sports he enjoys, one of which he may have attempted to take up as a career if not with the Blues, and also squeezed in a playful dig at team-mate, close friend and fellow Academy graduate, Loftus-Cheek!

‘I enjoy watching and playing basketball but in terms of competing in another sport professionally, I’d probably say athletics,’ Callum explained.

‘I’m quick at running, so I think I’d have been quite good at athletics. Unlike Ruben, who is kind of slow and I think he could even be one of the slowest players in our team!

‘My favourite other sport is definitely basketball. Every time there is an opportunity to watch a game on TV, then I do that and I like the way the atmosphere is at games. It looks as if there’s a really good buzz.’
