JI AND KERR SET FOR INTERNATIONAL DUTY

Chelsea Women players Ji So-Yun and Sam Kerr will join up with their countries for international duty as South Korea and Australia look to reach the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Ji will link up with her team-mates this week as her side aim to become one of two countries to join host nation Japan from the Asian Football Confederation in the finals, while Kerr, who scored her first goal for the Blues in a 4-1 away win at Arsenal on Sunday, will join up with the Matildas next week.

For midfielder Ji, there are two matches scheduled over a six-day period in Group A of the third round of qualifiers with her side facing Myanmar on Friday 3 February before taking on Vietnam on Thursday 9 February.

Finishing in the top two of Group A will put South Korea into the play-off round in March, from which two of the participating teams will go through to the Olympic finals.

Forward Kerr and Australia will play in Group B of the qualifiers with three games across a week starting with Chinese Taipei on Friday 3 February.
The Matildas will then face Thailand on Monday 6 February before facing China PR on Thursday 9 February with all games taking place in China.

Finishing in the top two of Group B will put Kerr and her team into the play-off round in March, where she could eventually meet team-mate Ji and South Korea, depending on whether they go through to the play-offs as runners-up or winners of their groups.

The Blues are next at Kingsmeadow on Sunday 2 February where we take on West Ham United. The Women's Super League match kicks off at 2pm and tickets can be purchased here!
