George McEachran has today joined Dutch side SC Cambuur on loan until the end of the season.

The midfielder, 19, signed a new three-year contract with Chelsea in July 2019 ahead of the current season, having been part of the Academy since the age of eight.McEachran’s development squad performances earned him a place on the bench for the Europa League tie against MOL Vidi last season, while he was also part of the travelling squad to Baku for the final. This season, he has made 21 appearances for our Academy teams, scoring once in the UEFA Youth League clash against Ajax at Cobham.An Under-17 World Cup winner with England in 2017, McEachran will now aim to further his development with SC Cambuur who currently sit top of the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football.Meanwhile Nathan, the midfielder who is currently at Atletico Mineiro, has extended his loan with the Brazilian club until the summer. The 23-year-old has also signed a one-year contract extension.
