No football? No problem. We’ve got it covered during the winter break with more recommendations from our players on what to watch on the box. This time around we asked Willian what he’s recently enjoyed watching and he gave us his top three…

1. Prison Break (series)

Willian’s first recommendation may well be a good few years old now, but if you haven’t seen it, expect to buckle in for many hours at a time, as the tense storyline complete with the most gripping of cliffhangers keep you glued to the screen. Wentworth Miller stars as Michael Schofield, an engineer who cleverly installs himself in the prison which is keeping his falsely accused brother on death row, and he proceeds to, well, break them out of the prison…

2. Power (series)

Our Brazilian number 10 joins several of his team-mates in offering high praise for this crime drama in which a popular and successful nightclub boss moonlights as a drug dealer to New York City A-listers. There are six seasons ready and waiting to be devoured. Get stuck in, and we’ll see you at the Man United game on 17 February.

3. Narcos (series)

Set and filmed in Colombia, seasons one and two chart the meteoric rise of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, who became one of the richest men on earth through the production and distribution of cocaine. While ruthlessly working his way to billionaire status, he tried to maintain a Robin Hood-type public image, funding many community projects including football fields. At one point, he even owned a football club – Atletico National in Medellin.

His interactions with drug lords, and the DEA’s desperate pursuit of his arrest make for a hugely entertaining crime drama. We won’t mention season three, as it may give the game away a little…
