Fikayo Tomori is selected for the first time in a month in a side that has two changes from the one that lost to Bayern Munich in midweek.

The young defender comes in for Toni Rudiger in what remains a back-three defence.The other change is up front where Pedro replaces Ross Barkley. Frank Lampard has explained he and Tomori put themselves in contention for selection with the way they trained.

Olivier Giroud continues at centre-forward with Tammy Abraham out injured. Mason Mount completes the front three.

Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are an experienced midfield core with Reece James wide on the right and Marcos Alonso, who spoke to this website today, on the left.For Bournemouth, former Chelsea player Nathan Ake returns to their defence having missed last weekend’s defeat at Burnley due to concussion.
