Chelsea met Hope Powell’s Brighton in our second game of the campaign and it is one of only three games when we have shared the points this season. Although we dominated for large periods and fashioned the better opportunities, the Seagulls made us pay when Aileen Whelan put the home side in front with just a few minutes left to play, netting with their only shot on target.

However, Adelina Engman came off the Chelsea bench and delivered our equaliser on the South Coast courtesy of a smart finish from close range. Hayes will no doubt be calling upon her side to be more clinical in front of goal for the reverse fixture.

The Blues have three games before this with the first being away to Everton on Sunday for a place in the semi-finals of the Women’s FA Cup. The Blues welcome the same opponents to Kingsmeadow in the league a week later and this match kicks off at 2pm. Tickets are also available to purchase online here.

Our final fixture of March is a London derby away to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 29 March, which kicks off at 2pm.
