Blues turn focus to Dembele

According to the Daily Mail, Lyon striker Moussa Dembele has emerged as Chelsea’s main transfer target for this summer.

Recent transfer speculation has linked the Blues with Dembele and RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner but citing a report by The Athletic, the paper insists the club is now focused on bringing in the former France Under-21 international.

‘The Blues were interested in Werner, who has scored 27 goals this season, but Liverpool appear to have edged ahead of Chelsea as far as that deal is concerned,’ stated the report.

‘Chelsea are now eager to sign Dembele, who has netted 16 times in 27 Ligue 1 appearances this campaign.

‘Dembele started his senior career with Fulham prior to joining Celtic and subsequently made the switch to Lyon in 2018.

‘Chelsea are eager to bolster their attacking resources, especially with Olivier Giroud out of contract in the summer.'

Blues to bid for Martinez?

The Sun reports Chelsea could break our club transfer record in order to sign Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.

Citing a front-page report by Spanish daily Sport, the paper indicates the Blues could meet the release clause of £100million for the young forward, who has been heavily linked with a summer move to Barcelona.

‘Sport claim that the Blues and Manchester City have both made approaches for the 22-year-old, and pose a "great danger" to the La Liga winners' efforts of signing him,’ states the report.

‘The newspaper adds that one of the two Premier League giants have presented a "totally off-market offer" for the Argentine, who carries a £100m release clause that is valid from July 1st to 15th.

‘Barcelona consider that figure too high and have already offered Arturo Vidal in an attempt to lower Inter's valuation of their prized asset.

‘Barca are in the market for a new No9 as they look for a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan turns 34 on his next birthday and they believe Martinez is the perfect man to fill his boots.

‘Martinez has been in brilliant form this campaign with 16 goals in 28 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League this season.’

Tammy gets on his bike

Tammy Abraham has given fans an insight into what he has been doing to get back to full fitness, sharing a video on Twitter which shows him working out on an exercise bike at home.

The 22-year-old has been hampered by an ankle problem which has seen him make only two substitute appearances in our last six matches before the Covid-19 shutdown.

But the club’s leading scorer this season appears eager to get back into action and in his post titled ‘Working from home!’, he can be seen putting in some hard work on his bike.

His initial enthusiasm for the exercise is clearly stated in the video’s subtitles which reads: ‘Let’s get it!!!’

However, the intensity of the workout clearly takes its toll on the young striker who appears much wearier at the end of the video as he signs off with the subtitles: ‘People who cycle daily… you deserve awards.’

The video has already generated more than 125,000 views and over 12,000 likes.
