Summer Pjanic buying

Miralem Pjanic could be on his way to London as reports in the Daily Star link the Bosnian with a summer move to Stamford Bridge.

Citing the original source as Italian publication Calciomercato, the Star suggest that Juventus are willing to sell Pjanic this summer in order to raise funds and they claim that Paris Saint-Germain are also in the running for the 29-year-old’s signature.

Pjanic has spent almost four seasons in Turin, working this year under former Blues boss Maurizio Sarri, following previous stints with Roma, Lyon and Metz. He has represented Bosnia & Herzegovina at international level almost 100 times.

‘Bosnia international Miralem Pjanic has won three Serie A titles with Juventus since joining from Roma but could be sold this summer to raise funds,’ claims the report.

‘The Italian champions are thought to be willing to allow the Bosnia midfielder to leave in the summer if the price is right.

‘They want the money to fund other signings and are over-populated in that area of the pitch at the moment. Juve know they can get at least €60m (£55m) for Pjanic.’

Anjorin close to contract renewal

According to Goal.com, Tino Anjorin is now very close to signing a new long-term contract with his boyhood club.

The teenager, who made his Premier League debut as a substitute in our recent win over Everton, has been convinced that his long-term future is at Stamford Bridge following Frank Lampard’s show of faith.

‘Chelsea have made progress over contract talks with Tino Anjorin but still need to tie up several small details with their academy star in the coming weeks,’ states the report.

‘The protracted discussions with the 18-year-old have proven difficult so far, with the Blues looking to convince the youngster that he can realistically become a first-team player at his boyhood club. Chelsea are looking to tie Anjorin down until 2025 with his current deal expiring in just under a year.

‘Their cause has been aided by Frank Lampard promoting Anjorin to his squad in recent weeks, amid an injury crisis which ultimately brought about his Premier League debut. The midfielder is understood to be delighted at making his breakthrough and is targeting more first-team appearances.’

The report goes on to explain that Anjorin remains in self-isolation, like the rest of the senior squad, but is hopeful of returning to training soon, after which he can put pen to paper on a new deal to extend his decade-long career at the club.

Blues linked with bidding war for Argentinian keeper

Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso is the latest to be linked with a summer switch to Stamford Bridge, with Football Italia reporting that Chelsea and Inter Milan will compete in a bidding war for the Argentinian in the next transfer window.

The 25-year-old came through the ranks in Buenos Aires with Racing Club before moving to Serie A in the summer of 2018. He has played once for the Argentinian national side, in a friendly against Morocco a year ago.

Citing Italian website Tuttomercatoweb, the Football Italia report indicates that ‘Inter and Chelsea could get into a bidding war over the summer for Udinese and Argentina goalkeeper Juan Musso.

‘The Nerazzuri want someone who can take over from ageing captain Samir Handanovic, who spent several weeks out of action with a fractured little finger on his left hand.’

The report goes on to say that the Blues could also be interested in signing Musso this summer, leading to a battle with Inter for the South American shot-stopper.
