Mason Mount is the latest Chelsea figure to take part in a video call with a supporter.

This week he got in touch with Maureen, a senior Blues fan, for a catch-up via video link to see how she is coping during the lockdown. The two of them talked about what they are both missing at the moment, about baking and even about Mason's love life!

The call follows on from Frank Lampard last week speaking by video call with NHS heart surgeon and Chelsea supporter Dr Panos Theodoropoulos who is working on the frontline response to the coronavirus pandemic.During Mason Mount’s call, which can be watched in the video above, Maureen asks him what he is missing the most.‘Just being with my family as I am alone at the moment as well,’ replies the midfielder, ‘because my mum and dad are back home in Portsmouth where I am originally from, so I told them to stay there.’She also revealed her granddaughter, named Chelsea after the team, is besotted by the 21-year-old who is her favourite player.

Later in the call Maureen talks about the lockdown and admits: ‘When it all started I said that it is nothing because I love staying in, but now it is like you are caged.‘It not so much going out but if you could see people, your family. I can go for walks but you still can’t talk to people. That’s the worst, not being able to talk to somebody.’There was at least the chance for her to talk to a player from her favourite football team this week.
