Chilwell keen on Chelsea move?

A report by the Sun suggests Ben Chilwell has told Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers he wants to leave the Foxes for Chelsea this summer.

The England international full-back is reportedly a transfer target for the Blues and it has now been suggested the 23-year-old could also be keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.

‘The Blues have been linked with an £85million swoop for the left-back this summer and their hopes may have been boosted by the player himself,’ states the report.

‘According to The Transfer Window Podcast, Chilwell has discussed his future with his manager at the King Power Stadium.

‘He has also admitted a move to Chelsea would interest him should any offer be forthcoming.’

Leverkusen MD not confident of keeping Havertz

According to the Daily Mail, Bayer Leverkusen managing director Rudi Voller does not have much confidence the club will be able to keep Kai Havertz around next season amid interest from the likes of Chelsea in the young attacking star.

The 20-year-old has netted 35 goals for Leverkusen during the past two seasons and has reportedly drawn interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs including the Blues.

'I'm honest, I always have such a small hope that we can and will keep him here for another year,' said Voller to SkySports.'It doesn't change the fact that he's already a world-class player anyway, that's what he was before. Now the attention is even more on him.

'He will switch to an absolute world-class club at some point.'

Burley uncertain if Aubameyang signing make sense

Speaking to ESPN.com, Craig Burley has voiced some doubt about the possible signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang by Chelsea, suggesting the cost of acquiring the Gabon international from Arsenal may be too high.

Aubameyang has scored 17 Premier League goals this season but there has been speculation he could leave the Gunners this summer after failing to agree an extension to his contract which expires at the end of the 2020/21 season.

However, Burley feels the cost of brining him to Stamford Bridge does not represent good value to the Blues.

‘Is Aubameyang one of the hottest strikers around? Absolutely. His goalscoring stats, even beyond the last two years, but certainly the last couple of seasons, at Arsenal, he’s produced the goods,’ said the former Chelsea midfielder.

‘But he is going to be 31 soon and you know Chelsea have been in the process of bringing in younger players. Clearly they need a striker, someone to come in with more experience and more quality than Tammy Abraham who has done a very good job.

‘Clearly they are in the market for a striker. Are they in the market to shell out for a 31-year-old who they probably will get a couple of years out of? Potentially they are but only for the right price. We know Arsenal are not desperate to let him go unless they get a bumper deal.

‘There is a lot of bluff and also the fact that Arsenal are trying to sell the fact that they are going to be much better next year they may still get in the Champions League as an outside bet.

‘Chelsea have to sell the project as well. They are not on the coat tails of Liverpool they themselves are fighting for Champions League football next year.’
