Blues in discussions with Benrahma?

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Algerian winger Said Benrahma from west London neighbours Brentford.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form for the Championship side this season and had attracted interest from Arsenal and Leicester City before he was linked with the Blues by French media outlet RMC.

‘Chelsea have formally expressed an interest in the player to Brentford, who is valued at around £31million, according to RMC,’ stated the Mail’s report.

‘Benrahma has featured in 34 of Brentford's 37 Championship games this season and has scored 10 times.

‘The former Nice winger, who has a deal until the summer of 2022, has also earned three senior caps for the Algerian national team.’

Ronaldo rumour sparks fan reaction

According to the Daily Express, a rumour suggesting Chelsea were preparing to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus has led to a bemused reaction from fans.

The report by Don Balon suggested the Blues have made a €120million offer for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

But while the report stirred excitement from some fans, many were not falling for the story from the Spanish media outlet.

‘The idea Ronaldo going to Chelsea is comical,’ one supporter said.

Another added: ‘Don’t see Chelsea paying £120m for a 35-year-old. Yes, it’s Ronaldo but for that money plus age I doubt it.’

And another wrote: ‘Chelsea have been linked with a move for Cristiano Ronaldo. Yes, you read that correctly. Yes, it is time to log off this app for the day.’

Pjanic hints at Chelsea offer

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have reportedly made an offer for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic as he weighs up his options ahead of a likely summer move.

The Bosnian has been tracked by Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain but a report in Italy suggests the Blues are also interested in signing him from the Serie A champions.

‘According to Corriere dello Sport, the 30-year-old has “listened to a proposal from Chelsea” with the Blues keen on strengthening the squad with another quality midfielder with experience at the top level,’ states the Mail.

‘He has also received an offer from Ligue 1 outfit PSG,' the report adds, with Pjanic 'resigned to leaving the Old Lady and acknowledging that “his adventure at Juventus might be reaching the end credits."

‘Rumours from Spain suggest Pjanic, who has played 33 times for the club this season, has his heart set on a move to Barcelona, but the deal is said to have hit a snag with Arthur Melo unwilling to go ahead with the swap move.’
