Frank Lampard and his staff really put the players through their paces after conducting a light session yesterday following Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa.

The Surrey sunshine was beaming down at our Cobham training base, with the temperatures in the high twenties, as Lampard, Jody Morris and Joe Edwards worked with the players ahead of Thursday’s clash with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who started a competitive game for the first time in over a year at Villa Park was again involved in the session along with weekend goalscorers Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud.

Callum Hudson-Odoi was out on the grass looking to catch the eye, while Jorginho – who missed the win at Villa through suspension – even tried his hand at goalkeeping during a break in the session!

The Blues return to Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening, for a huge clash with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
