It is 72 years since one of the UK’s greatest institutions was founded, and the importance of what the NHS does has never been more marked than during the Covid-19 crisis.

Chelsea Football Club played its own small part by making the Millennium Hotel and Copthorne Hotels at Stamford Bridge available to the NHS, as well as providing over 100,000 free meals to the NHS and charities that support elderly and vulnerable groups.

At 5pm today, Sunday 5 July, a final nationwide clap is taking place to thank the key workers, health workers and others who have helped keep the country going during such a difficult period. Please join us in doing so.
