We look at the past week of loan action for our players in the Championship in England and Serie A in Italy, and report on the transfer of a Brazilian…

Starting in the Championship which is reaching its final stages, Trevoh Chalobah played a part as Huddersfield Town collected four points out of six in their fight against relegation.Firstly he came on with 83 minutes played of their big 3-0 away win against Birmingham, and then he started and played all but the final few minutes of a 0-0 home draw with Preston at the weekend. It is the first time the Terriers have kept back-to-back clean sheets since October and the results have lifted them out of the relegation zone.Jake Clarke-Salter was in the Birmingham defence in that midweek defeat and he was also in the side for their 1-0 loss at promotion chasing Fulham on Saturday. Birmingham are five points clear of the drop zone with five games to play.Having both extended their loans at Swansea until the end of the season, Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi were in action in two games in the past week.In a 1-1 draw at Millwall, Gallagher went close to scoring on a couple of occasions while Guehi was introduced late in the game. He started for the sixth time this season in the next match, a 2-1 home win over Sheffield Wednesday and made a goal-saving block in the first half. Gallagher (pictured top against Wednesday) played 70 minutes. The four points move Swansea up to eighth.

It was a bad day at the weekend for bottom club Luton who went down 5-0 at home to Reading, who were without the suspended Matt Miazga. Izzy Brown came off at half-time. In midweek they had drawn 1-1 at top team Leeds with Brown remaining on the bench in that game.Victor Moses started third-place Inter’s 6-0 thumping of Brescia in the San Siro but was absent for their 2-1 home defeat against Bologna at the weekend due to a minor injury.

Davide Zappacosta played twice for Roma in the past week, coming on in the second half of a 2-0 home defeat by Udinese, and then playing the whole of a 2-1 defeat against Napoli who are on the same points but a place above in fifth.Mario Pasalic, who is joining Atalanta permanently at the end of the season, scored for them in a 2-0 home win over Napoli and followed that up with a 1-0 win at Cagliari. One permanent transfer that has already gone through is Nathan to Atletico Mineiro, the club in his native Brazil where he has played on loan for the past two years.

He signed for Chelsea in 2015 and went on loan to Vitesse before playing at Amiens in France and Belenenses in Portugal prior to his switch back to Brazil.
