On Saturday we were able to bring you the first photos of Hakim Ziyech training at Cobham following the news he had arrived in London the evening before. The Moroccan international’s fitness work is continuing and here we have video from our training ground showing the progress being made.

The video can be viewed above and as well as conditioning work, it also shows Ziyech on the ball. Visit: First pictures of Hakim Ziyech in Chelsea blueThe 27-year-old officially became a Chelsea player at the start of the month but as he cannot be registered as part of the squad for what little remains of the current season, his primary focus for the time being is on his physical condition for when he does join the rest of the group for training, so he can fly out of the blocks when next season begins. His last competitive game for former club Ajax was at the start of March.Back in February, after terms had been agreed for the winger’s move to Stamford Bridge, Ziyech said he cannot wait to get going.‘Chelsea is a big club in a big competition,’ he added. ‘I like the style of play, they play really attacking football, and that is something that fits me and that is one of the biggest reasons I chose therefore.’

Frank Lampard said this about his first signing, who has since been added to by Timo Werner.‘He’s a player we hope can bring creativity. He first came to my attention watching him play in Ajax’s Champions League run last year and I thought he was one of their standout players, particularly in the games against Tottenham.‘He has a great left foot, plays generally off the right-hand side but can play in behind the frontman as well. He will be something different for us so we’re excited.’
