On Monday night Chelsea FC Women manager Emma Hayes was named the Barclays FA Women’s Super League Manager of the Season at the 2019/20 League Managers' Association LMA Annual Awards.

Hayes guided Chelsea to the domestic Double having won the Women’s Super League title and the Continental Tyres League Cup. Before the league was brought to a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic, Chelsea were enjoying an undefeated campaign, registering 12 wins and three draws.

Prior to the termination of the WSL the Blues netted 47 goals, averaging more than three goals per game.

We got our hands on the Continental Tyres League Cup for the first time in our history by defeating London rivals Arsenal 2-1 in February, with top scorer Bethany England notching both goals. This fixture turned out to be our final game of the season before the country went into lockdown.

Hayes also recently claimed the WSL Manager of the Season honour, while forward England picked up Player of the Season.

The Football Association has confirmed the approval to conclude the last three rounds of the 2019/20 Women’s FA Cup in the early part of the 2020/21 season, with the Blues to face Everton in the quarter-finals.
