Vote for Chelsea's best FA Cup goal

Top 10 Chelsea FA Cup Goals!

Ahead of this season’s FA Cup final, watch 10 of Chelsea’s best-ever goals in the competition and help us pick the greatest of all time.

The video above shows our shortlist of 10 to enjoy and you can cast your vote for which one is the best on the poll below until midnight on Thursday 30 July, with the winner being announced on Matchday Live on the 5th Stand app during the build-up to Saturday’s FA Cup final against Arsenal at Wembley.

That stadium, long the host of the final and now the semis too, was the venue for four of the 10 nominated goals. The most recent was Olivier Giroud’s slaloming solo effort in the semi-final against Southampton two seasons ago, but you can also choose from Nemanja Matic’s Tottenham coup de grace at the same stage of the previous campaign and Frank Lampard’s long-range free-kick from another big win over Spurs in the last four, in 2012. In fact, Tottenham seem to bring out the best in our players, as Andriy Shevchenko’s goal in 2007 also makes the cut.

The only one on this list which was actually scored in an FA Cup final belongs to Roberto Di Matteo against Middlesbrough in 1997, which was also the quickest ever scored in an FA Cup final at the time - just 43 seconds after kick-off - as he set us on our way to lifting the famous old trophy for the first time in over a quarter of a century. Gianfranco Zola’s clever winner against Wimbledon in that season’s semi is nominated too, one of two from the tricky Italian on this list, along with his equally clever back-heel volley in the third round at Norwich City in 2002.

The other modern offering on the shortlist comes from Oscar in 2013, one of two great goals across those two fourth-round matches as we avoided an upset against Brentford. The last two nominees are golden oldies from the Seventies, with Clive Walker helping a young Chelsea side knock out European champions Liverpool in the third round in 1978 and unsung hero Peter Houseman outwitting Watford and the dire pitch in the semi-final en route to our first FA Cup triumph eight years later.

With so many great goals to choose from, watch all the nominees, pick carefully and cast your vote below. And be sure to join us on Matchday Live on the 5th Stand app from an hour before kick-off on Saturday to find out if your favourite was selected as our best ever in the FA Cup, along with all the usual reaction, analysis and debate as Gus Poyet and Glen Johnson join host Jason Cundy via video link.

- VOTING IS NOW CLOSED AND THE WINNER WILL BE REVEALED IN OUR MATCHDAY LIVE SHOW ON SATURDAY!
