The Football Association has today announced Chelsea FC Women’s opening two fixtures of the 2020/21 Barclays FA Women’s Super League.

The Blues’ defence of the Women’s Super League title officially starts on the weekend of 5/6 September with a trip north to Manchester United, before hosting Bristol City at Kingsmeadow the following weekend.

The full fixture list will be released in early September, with the season due to start behind closed doors until it is safe for fans to return.

Kick-off times for our opening games are still to be confirmed by the FA, with broadcast fixtures still to be decided too.

Fans will be able to support from home by watching the matches live via the The FA Player, a free streaming platform, exclusively dedicated for women’s football in England.

Emma Hayes’ side have faced Manchester United just twice competitively, with both of those ending in slender 1-0 victories courtesy of Maren Mjelde last season.

We played Bristol twice last term with the first fixture resulting in a comfortable 4-0 victory, and the second finishing 6-1 to the Blues.
