Danilo Pantic has joined FK Cukaricki on a season-long loan for the 2020/21 campaign.

The Serbian midfielder returns to his homeland following a year in Hungary with MOL Fehervar, where he made 10 appearances and helped them to a runners-up place in the league.

Having initially signed for Chelsea in 2015, the 23-year-old has spent time on loan at Vitesse, Excelsior and Partizan Belgrade, the club he originally joined from.

FK Cukaricki finished sixth in the Hungarian Super Liga last season, eight points adrift of a Europa League qualification place. They are three games into the new campaign and remain unbeaten.

Meanwhile, Academy midfielder Jacob Maddox has completed a permanent transfer to Vitoria SC.

The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Bristol City at the age of 14 and enjoyed plenty of success growing up at Cobham, featuring in every game as we won the FA Youth Cup for the third year running in 2015/16.

He also won the UEFA Youth League and the Under-18 Treble, as well as the Under-19 European Championship with England in 2017. His first taste of senior football came in 2018/19 with a year on loan at League Two Cheltenham Town, where he made 44 appearances, before he spent the first half of 2019/20 at Tranmere Rovers, featuring just twice.

Maddox spent the second part of this campaign on loan at Southampton. He was an unused substitute for the Saints in a Premier League fixture against Brighton last month and now heads to the Primeira Liga, Portugal’s top division.

We thank Jacob for his service to Chelsea and wish him all the best in his future career.
