James out of England Under-21s

Reece James has withdrawn from the England Under-21 squad the FA has announced.

The Chelsea right-back had been selected for two European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Kosovo and Austria.

Three Chelsea players, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi (who is on loan at Swansea) remain in the squad for the games on Friday and Tuesday.

With Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze also pulling out, Aidy Boothroyd has called up former Chelsea player Tariq Lamptey who is now at Brighton.
