FOUNDATION AND CADBURY JOIN FORCES FOR SPECIAL EDGE OF THE BOX CLUB

Chelsea Foundation recently teamed up with new club partner Cadbury to deliver a special Edge of the Box Club.  

Chelsea FC recently announced the global partnership making Cadbury, the UK’s favourite chocolate brand, the club’s official partner.

Through the partnership, Cadbury supports Chelsea FC Foundation’s Edge of the Box Club by offering unique sessions hosted by business experts to help upskill entrepreneurs and small businesses to succeed in their ventures.

Cadbury hosted the first session with Edge of the Box Club online, which focused on brand marketing and saw brand experts share their knowledge and expertise on the key pillars of marketing, and engage with an audience of 98 Edge of the Box Club attendees.

Chelsea Foundation employability and enterprise manager Carl Southwell said: ‘Thank you so much to Cadbury for choosing to support Edge of the Box Club. They have really wanted to understand the club and our audience of start-ups so they can offer something valuable. There was some great content from Nick Rogers and Charlotte Parkes during their guest speaker slot, which was all about brand marketing. It has given us all even more motivation to support the start-ups through a really difficult year.’

Cadbury gave those who signed up to the Edge of the Box Club online a chance to submit proposals for an opportunity to win pitch-side perimeter board advertising at the Chelsea FC Women’s home ground, Kingsmeadow through the 20/21 campaign.

The opportunity given was hugely popular, and encouraged more than 100 entries from our start-up community, with Sofia Rachedi, Lydia Mena and Alana Williams chosen as the three lucky winners.

Alana, founder of the The Glam Squad, which is the place to go for women who wish to be their own beauty experts, has been a regular attendee of the Foundation’s Edge of the Box Club and recently completed the three-week Chelsea FC Entrepreneur programme.

She said, ‘Becoming part of the Chelsea FC community through participation in The Edge of the Box Club has been a life-changing experience. To showcase my brand on the world stage of women’s football is an incredible opportunity, and I’m excited to work with the Cadbury’s branding team to develop The Glam Squad’s pitch-side advertisement at Kingsmeadow for the 2020/21 season. I could not have dreamed of a better placement for my brand to bloom so thank you Cadbury’s and Chelsea FC for this amazing opportunity.’
