Our next Play Predictor guest Amal Fashanu is expecting Mason Mount to quickly recover from his penalty miss to help fire us to victory against Crystal Palace.

This season Blues fans can compete with our guests and each other while testing their knowledge in our Play Predictor game on The 5th Stand app. The game is available to play for every Chelsea fixture, including cup matches, and there’s the chance to win incredible prizes throughout the season.

Our guest predictor for the first match of the month on Saturday – presenter, journalist and equality campaigner Amal – should know her stuff as she comes from a footballing family, with her father John and uncle Justin both having played in the English top flight, and she is predicting a narrow victory for the Blues against Palace with plenty of goals.

‘I’m predicting a 3-2 scoreline because Chelsea have the firepower but need to improve defensively, and Palace have fast attackers like Wilfried Zaha who can play on the counter-attack,’ she explained.

‘I’ve picked Mason Mount to score in the 19th minute because he missed the crucial penalty against Tottenham and will be eager to make amends and Chelsea start pretty well, plus 13 shots for Chelsea because they have forwards that shoot from everywhere.’

You can see the rest of Amal’s predictions below…
