Chelsea FC Women’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Aston Villa, which was due to take place on Sunday 17 October, has been postponed following a member of their first-team squad testing positive for COVID-19.
Aston Villa are unfortunately not in a position to fulfil the fixture due to a player testing positive for coronavirus, with a number of players needing to self-isolate for 14 days as a result.Due to these developments, it has since been agreed with the FA to postpone Aston Villa’s next two fixtures against Bristol City this Sunday and our match on Saturday 17 October.Aston Villa’s main priority is the health and safety of their players, staff, and opponents. The new date of this fixture will be announced in due course.
