Chelsea FC Women’s Continental League Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur, which was due to take place on Wednesday 4 November, has been brought forward by one day.

The Blues’ Group B match will now be played on Tuesday 3 November with the same kick-off time of 7pm.Emma Hayes’ side got off to a perfect start in our Continental League Cup defence with a 4-1 win against 2019 finalists Arsenal last week.It was a highly entertaining London derby at Kingsmeadow with four goals coming inside the first quarter of an hour. Captain Magdalena Eriksson netted the opener only six minutes into the clash with a powerful header. The Gunners pulled one back two minutes later but Chelsea had a two-goal cushion at the break thanks to a Guro Reiten brace. Bethany England rounded off the scoring in the final seconds of the contest when she stormed in to fire home her 50th Chelsea goal.The Blues’ final group match is away to Championship side London City Lionesses and this encounter will be on Wednesday 18 November with a 7.30pm kick-off.The format of the competition has been adjusted slightly, with the tournament increased from four groups to six. Four teams will compete in five of the groups and three in the other. The six teams finishing top of their group will progress to the quarter-final stage alongside the two best runners-up.
