Frank Lampard believes relationships are starting to flourish throughout his Chelsea team as a result of work and discussion, factors he recalls were pivotal in his own productive playing partnership with Didier Drogba.

The boss was speaking in the latest edition of Ask Frank, which you can watch in full below. After reflecting on how he has observed improved cohesion in the team in recent weeks, coinciding with a run of form that has seen the Blues go six games unbeaten since the Carabao Cup penalty shootout defeat at Tottenham, Lampard went on to draw comparisons with how he and Drogba developed an almost telepathic understanding during eight years as team-mates at Stamford Bridge.

Much has been made in recent weeks about the combination play of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min at Spurs, who recently moved second in the all-time list of Premier League goal/assist combinations with 29, though it is Lampard and Drogba who remain out in front with 36 and our record goalscorer explains the reasons behind that success.

'I've been watching back some of the balls I'd play over the top one-touch for Didier - it was a pass I loved and I knew Didier would run. We would talk about the timing of it, exactly where he wanted it, the defender he felt would get sucked into that first movement.

'When things went wrong, we worked together in training and we used to stay outside a lot. It takes work and it takes relationships. You cannot do everything on your own so we have to build those relationships now all over the team.'
