Today’s Play Predictor guest, former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair, has backed the Blues to follow up victory over Krasnodar with another impressive win when we face Rennes in the Champions League.

Our latest Play Predictor guest sharing his predictions is Sinclair, who was born in London and progressed through our youth system before making 218 appearances in eight seasons with the first team, helping us win the FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup, as well as representing Jamaica at the 1998 World Cup.
Having spent the majority of his time with Chelsea playing at centre-back or right-back, Sinclair knows a thing or two about defending, and is predicting that we will keep our fifth consecutive clean sheet in all competitions against Rennes, which would also mean we reach the halfway stage of the Champions League group stage without conceding a goal.
He has plenty of confidence in our attacking players too, particularly Timo Werner. The German forward has found the net in our last two matches and Sinclair is backing him to do it again by opening the scoring in the first half against our French opponents at Stamford Bridge, setting us on our way to a convincing 3-0 win.
