First meets third at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, as we welcome back our former boss Jose Mourinho for what is shaping up to be a classic between two of the Premier League’s in-form teams.

The Portuguese tactician pops up a few times in a pictorial special we’ve put together, looking back at the first 999 games of the Roman Abramovich era ahead of the 1,000th, which is followed by a statistical analysis of our success in that time.

The headline feature of this weekend’s programme is an interview with Reece James, who has been making a big impression both on and off the pitch this season.

After starting the campaign with a stunning strike against Brighton, our right-back’s form for the Blues saw him step up to the England side, where he looked right at home.

‘Growing up, my main two targets were to play for Chelsea and England, and I’m living those dreams now,’ he tells us. ‘There’s a big crop of English right-backs and a lot of them are very good as well, so there’s no time to waste – I need to carry on working hard and keep on improving.’

On top of that he’s been getting involved in the wider community, helping to distribute food to those who need it the most during these tough times.

‘It’s opened my eyes to a lot of things,’ he says of his work with the Felix Project. ‘You don’t really know how many people actually need it, and how many rely on foodbanks and other food sources, but once you see them getting food, you can see how happy it actually makes them.

‘It’s a charity that saves food that can’t be sold from being wasted and distributes it out to the people that need it most. I’ve been doing a bit of volunteering with them, helping them out, delivering food and working a bit at the depot as well.’

Sunday’s game against Tottenham is one Kerry Dixon wishes he was taking part in. The most prolific centre-forward to wear the No9 shirt for Chelsea always loved scoring against Spurs, the club that rejected him as a youngster, and he talks us through some of his favourite memories from games against them in the latest instalment of What’s the Story.

Club historian Rick Glanvill also continues his look at different elements of Stamford Bridge, focusing on FA Cup finals and other marquee fixtures held at our west-London home at a time when it could have been considered to be the national stadium.
