Sophie Ingle's magnificent strike against Arsenal Women at the start of 2020 is one of 11 nominations for FIFA's prestigious Puskas Award, given for the most aesthetically beautiful goal scored each year in men's or women's football.
In addition, Chelsea FC Women manager Emma Hayes has been shortlisted for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach, while Pernille Harder, Ji So-Yun and Sam Kerr are up for the Women’s Player prize. Ann-Katrin Berger is nominated for The Best Women’s Goalkeeper.
Ingle’s strike, which came in a 4-1 victory away to Arsenal in the Women’s Super League last season, can be viewed below.
Hayes is in the running for Best Coach after leading the Blues to a domestic Double, crowned the 2019/20 Barclays FA Women’s Super League champions and winning the Continental League Cup.

Midfielder Ji has been included in the shortlist of 11 women’s player after yet another brilliant year for the Blues. The South Korean played a pivotal part in our silverware success last term and the playmaker was a PFA Women’s Players’ Player of the Year finalist.
Australian forward Kerr, who joined Chelsea last December, has previously been named the NWSL’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) after scoring a record number of goals for Chicago Red Stars to secure a third-consecutive golden boot.
Harder became a Chelsea player ahead of this season, joining from Wolfsburg. The Denmark international had an outstanding season for her previous club, winning the domestic Double as well as finishing top goalscorer in the German top flight. Her tally of 27 in the coronavirus-affected 2019/20 season was the highest by any player in the league since 2010. The attacking player also captained her former side to the Champions League final and she was voted the 2019/20 UEFA Women’s Player of the Year as well as the Women’s Champions League Forward of the Season.
Blues goalkeeper Berger is contention for The Best Women’s Goalkeeper category and the German was named in the Women's Super League team of the season after her impressive performances in the Chelsea goal. Former Blue, Hedvig Lindahl, has also been shortlisted.
