Thiago Silva in extension talks

According to Tuttomercatoweb and Talk Sport, Thiago Silva is looking to lengthen his stay at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2022.

The Brazilian arrived from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer after spending eight years at the club and seems to be enjoying life with the Blues.

His influence on the Chelsea squad is growing, and some of the performances this season have required his leadership. He has given confidence to many of our young players including centre-back partner Kurt Zouma.

‘It appears he is already convinced of staying at Chelsea with a fresh contract planned,’ reported Talk Sport.

'According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Brazil international has made "first contact" with the Blues over extending his deal in west London, with the idea of penning fresh terms until the summer of 2022.'

After travelling to Brazil for the international break, he was rested for our fixture against Newcastle and returned to action with an excellent display in our 2-1 win against Rennes. The Blues have now won six games in a row as they prepare for Tottenham on Sunday.

Hudson-Odoi says new signings ready for derby

Callum Hudson-Odoi has assured Chelsea fans that our new signings are already well versed in the history of our fixture against Tottenham.

After facing each other in the Carabao Cup, the likes of Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech will have their first taste of a Premier League fixture against Spurs.

‘I think they know already,’ he said in a report in the Evening Standard.

‘They know it is a big game. Every time Chelsea play Tottenham, everybody knows how big of a game it is.’

Hudson-Odoi scored the opener against Rennes in midweek, making it his second away Champions League goal in two consecutive games. He will be hoping to provide that attacking threat on Sunday.

‘We want to win every game that we play against them,’ said the 20-year-old.

‘The new boys already know that it is going to be a massive game, it is going to be a tough one as well but we want to go out there and get the three points and hopefully, we will be smiling at the weekend.

Zouma gives wonderkid pep talk

After the final whistle blew in our win against Rennes in the week, Kurt Zouma was the last player to leave the pitch as he was immersed in a conversation with 18-year-old star Eduardo Camavinga.

Footage has emerged via RMC Sports of the 26-year-old giving Camavinga advice.

In the clip, Zouma is seen to be engaged in the analysis of Camavinga’s performance, he even referenced a previous game against Paris Saint-Germain.

‘Sometimes you have to swing when you’re behind,’ he said.

‘We do it sometimes. When there is pressure, you lose the ball and a goal. Every time it is like this! It happened against Paris Saint-Germain too.’

Camavinga became the youngest player to score for France in 100 years this season and was playing in his first Champions League match. This clip showed Chelsea fans how much Zouma is growing on and off the pitch.

Having started the season well and earned himself a call-up to the French squad in the last international break, who knows what other heights the towering centre-back can reach this season.
