Two clean sheets and one goal in three appearances have earned Ben Chilwell a place in the eight-man shortlist for November’s Premier League Player of the Month award.

The left-back has fitted in perfectly with the Blues since his summer move from Leicester, linking up well with his team-mates and making an impact both defensively and offensively.

The former Leicester defender contributed heavily to the Blues staying unbeaten throughout November, collecting seven points from nine in the Premier League and was on the scoresheet in our big home win over Sheffield United.

Chilwell met a deep Hakim Ziyech cross at the back post to touch the ball beyond United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale to add to Tammy Abraham’s earlier strike, with further goals from Thiago Silva and Timo Werner securing the points at the Bridge.

The England international has also been very productive defensively too, helping the Blues keep clean sheets against Newcastle at St James’ Park and against a stubborn Jose Mourinho Tottenham side in our last Premier League outing.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Pierre-Emile Holberg (Tottenham Hotspur), Angelo Ogbonna (West Ham United) and James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) are the other nominees for the individual prize, with the winner announced next Friday (11 December).
