Chelsea Women have been drawn away at Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Continental League Cup.

The Blues are involved in the tie of the round as the last two winners of the competition meet in this season’s last eight.

Man City, who currently sit fourth in the Barclays Women’s Super League table, two points behind us, have won the Conti Cup three times, most recently in 2019, while we defeated Arsenal 2-1 in last year’s final to lift the trophy for the first time.

It will be the third meeting between the two teams already this season, with Chelsea winning both fixtures so far.

We started our campaign with a 2-0 victory over them in the Community Shield and triumphed 3-1, with goals from Maren Mjelde, Sam Kerr and Fran Kirby, when we met at Kingsmeadow in the WSL in October.

We reached this stage of the competition with a 100 per cent record following group-stage wins over Arsenal and Tottenham.

All quarter-final matches are scheduled to be played on 13 and 14 January, with further details to be announced in due course.
