With the start of January the Play Predictor monthly leaderboard has been reset, meaning you have a fresh chance to join the December winners by topping the table.

The new game month begins when we host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in our first match of 2021 on Sunday, with everyone starting on zero points going into that fixture and entries now open for the City match.

Supporters have the chance to win prizes in each game and every calendar month, in addition to the overall winner for the season, on the Play Predictor game on The 5th Stand app. Whoever tops the monthly leaderboard at the end of January will receive a signed merchandise bundle plus a £500 Megastore voucher, so get your predictions in for every match to have the best chance of topping the table.

There were plenty of points on offer in December with eight Chelsea fixtures to predict, but it remained remarkably tight at the top of the Play Predictor leaderboard, as just five points separated the top five fans at the end of the month. Congratulations to Jak B who was crowned the December winner, topping the table by two points despite a late surge up the leaderboard by Ishaan K, thanks to the latter’s impressive score of 74 points in our last match of December, the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at the Bridge.

Despite being an unpredictable month, December certainly saw those fan backing Chelsea’s strikers rewarded with some big scores. Either Olivier Giroud or Tammy Abraham found the net in six of those eight December fixtures, and opened the scoring in four of them. No surprise then that they featured as first goalscorer in 29 per cent of the more than 400,000 predictions submitted last month.

But who will be getting the goals for Chelsea in January? Will we get off to a flying start to 2021 against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge? Start predicting now in Play Predictor for your opportunity to top the leaderboard and remember to enter for each fixture to boost your chances of getting your hands on our great matchday and monthly prizes.
