It’s a busy start to the New Year for Chelsea FC Women as we have six games to look forward to in January.

First up for Emma Hayes’ side is a trip Berkshire where we kick-start the second half of our Barclays FA Women’s Super League campaign against Reading at the Madejski Stadium. The match takes place on Sunday 10 January and has a 2pm kick-off.

The Blues who currently sit third in the league, with two games in hand, will look to extend our long unbeaten run in the Women’s Super League to 30.

Next the team travel north to take on rivals Manchester City in the quarter-final of the Continental Cup. The match will either be played on Wednesday 13 January or Thursday 14 January and kick-off is to still be confirmed too.

Then Chelsea welcome City’s counterparts, Manchester United, to Kingsmeadow on Sunday 17 January for what is expected to be a mouth-watering league clash. Casey Stoney’s Red Devils are currently top of the league and are the only other team in the league to be undefeated. The match kicks off at 2pm.

Three days later, Chelsea host Tottenham Hotspur in the league in a match which was postponed in December, and the match kicks off at 7pm at Kingsmeadow. On Sunday 24 January, Chelsea go to the West Country to meet Bristol City in the league and this match has a 2pm kick-off.

The Blues finish off the month with a mid-week game against newcomers Aston Villa. Chelsea have met Villa in the quarter-final of the Continental Cup last season but are yet to face Villa in the women’s top flight. The game which takes place at Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium is due to kick off at 7.30pm on Wednesday 27 January.
