Callum Hudson-Odoi starts at Leicester City as one of four changes to the team made by Frank Lampard.

The young winger will form part of a youthful front three alongside Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic. That means Hakim Ziyech and Olivier Giroud make way, while Pulisic makes his 50th appearance for Chelsea in all competitions.

In midfield Kai Havertz makes his first Premier League start for over a month, coming in for Jorginho, as Mateo Kovacic and goalscorer Mason Mount retain their places from the win over Fulham.

There is just one change to the back five, as Reece James returns from injury in place of Cesar Azpilicueta, meaning Thiago Silva will captain the side and partner Toni Rudiger at centre-back, with Ben Chilwell returning to the King Power Stadium for the first time since moving from Leicester to Chelsea in August.

Edouard Mendy continues between the posts.

Stats recap

Chelsea are aiming to make it nine wins from 12 visits to Leicester in all competitions.

Leicester City are unbeaten in their past five Premier League games against Chelsea (one win, four draws), their best run since a similar run without defeat between April 1999 and February 2001.

Our last away league win at Leicester was in September 2017 when goals either side of half-time from Alvaro Morata and N’Golo Kante secured a 2-1 victory.

This is our 19th Premier League match, marking the halfway stage of the season.

Chelsea are seventh on 29 points, eight points off leaders Man Utd. Only eight points separate the top nine Premier League teams.

Chelsea's win at Fulham ended a run of three successive Premier League defeats on the road. This was the our fourth away clean sheet of the season, three more than we managed in 2019/20.

Chelsea are the Premier League’s equal third-highest scorers (together with Leicester and Tottenham) with 33 goals, four fewer than Liverpool and one fewer than Man Utd.

Mason Mount created seven chances against Fulham - the joint-most by a Chelsea player in a league game this season. The previous highest was also Mount, against Leeds.
