Thomas Tuchel has made 10 changes to the team for his first game as Chelsea head coach...

Hakim Ziyech is the only player who started Sunday's FA Cup win over Luton Town who is back in the line-up for today's Premier League fixture with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Edouard Mendy comes back in for Kepa Arrizabalaga as goalkeeper, with Toni Rudiger partnering Thiago Silva in defence. Ben Chilwell also returns, as does captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

Tuchel looks likely to opt for a three-man midfield in his first game at Stamford Bridge, with Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and Kai Havertz all in the side.

The other two players handed a start by our new head coach are Callum Hudson-Odoi and Olivier Giroud, who scored the last time we faced Wolves.

‘The choices were totally unfair because how can I pick a team after one training session, when everyone was really focused and really open to all the things we trained,’ said Tuchel prior to kick-off at Stamford Bridge.

‘This may be the most unfair line-up we ever pick because there is no reason to give the players not playing. We chose a bit more experience, in a moment that is not easy. We are not in the place where we should be and the pressure is high so I went for experience.’

Wolves have new signing Willian Jose on their bench, who could make his debut if brought on.

Stats recap

Chelsea are seeking to extend our unbeaten home run in all competitions against Wolves to 10 games since our last defeat nearly 42 years ago.In that game at Stamford Bridge in March 1979, a few weeks before we were relegated to the old Second Division, Tommy Langley opened the scoring but goals from John Richards and Bill Rafferty secured a 2-1 win for the visitors.

Our opponents are going for a first league double against Chelsea since 1974/75 when Bill McGarry was in charge of Wolves. The Blues have only failed to score in one of our last 18 top-flight meetings with Wolves - a 0-1 defeat at Molineux in January 2011.

Wolves won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Molineux in December. Although Olivier Giroud opened the scoring just after the break, Daniel Podence equalised on 66 minutes and Pedro Neto scored the winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Our defeat to Man City in our last Premier League home game was only our second at Stamford Bridge this season in 15 matches (eight wins, five draws).

We have only lost two home games in all competitions in the last 21, winning 14 of them.

Only Liverpool (37), Man Utd (36) and Leicester (35) have scored more Premier League goals than Chelsea this season (33).

Mason Mount is creating a chance on average every 32 minutes in the Premier League this season. That is the best ratio by an Englishman to play at least five games in a season for the Blues since Frank Lampard in 2009/10 (one every 28 mins).

Only Ederson (10) and Emiliano Martinez (9) have kept more clean sheets in the Premier League than Edouard Mendy (7).
