Chelsea vs Liverpool head to head

Chelsea have won one of our past 12 Premier League meetings with Liverpool (five draws, six defeats), beating them 1-0 at the Bridge in May 2018 thanks to a first-half Olivier Giroud header.

Liverpool are seeking a fifth consecutive Premier League win against Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho was in charge the last time we came away from Anfield with three points. Cesar Azpilicueta was in a side that won 2-1 in November 2014 with goals from Gary Cahill and Diego Costa, after Emre Can opened the scoring early on. Since then we have drawn three, all 1-1, and lost the last two.

This will be our 90th game at Anfield and will equal, with Goodison Park, the most games played at an away ground in our history.

The reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge, which Liverpool won 2-0, was only the second time in 24 games in all competitions that we have failed to score at least one goal against the Reds.

Liverpool’s 68-match league home unbeaten run came to an end in January against Burnley. They have now lost four consecutive league games at Anfield, equalling their top-flight record set in 1923. The Reds have never lost five consecutive home games in their history, either in the league or all competitions.
