With the development squad, positive results have been hard to come by in recent weeks. Our last win came before Christmas and since then two draws and two defeats have made up the outcomes. The two defeats particularly have been tough to take. Against both Derby and Liverpool late goals were the undoing of a good start which saw the the Blues rewarded with an early goal but end up on the losing side.

In PL2, Brighton are on a similar run of form to our development squad and sit ninth in the table on 20 points. The only win in their last five games came against West Ham on 5 February, since then the Seagulls have drawn with Leicester and fallen to defeat against league leaders Man City, who needed two penalty-kicks and an injury-time winner to claim the points..
