Our lockdown feature Coaches Corner Live, which aims to aid your football training and physical activity amid the nationwide restrictions, returns this Saturday morning...

The UK Government may have set out their roadmap for an easing of nationwide restrictions, including the return of children to full-time education next week and the resumption of grassroots sports later in March, but plenty of young people will continue to be without coaching and training until then.

However, Chelsea FC have the perfect answer to fill your weekend training gaps until the pitches reopen. Coaches Corner Live is a series of weekly live coaching sessions to help young players stay active and maintain their training from home.

Led by Chelsea Academy and Foundation coach Andrew Ottley, the next session focuses on some key fundementals - passing, dribbling to beat your opponent and receiving the ball.

The best part is that all you need to get involved is a pair of boots, a ball and some markers, although these can be replicated with any safe household objects such as shoes, jumpers or plastic water bottles.

This week's session will be broadcast live on our official Facebook channel at 11am this Saturday 6 March.

After each session, players can continue their development during the week using Perfect Play, the world’s number one football training app, developed with and used by the Chelsea Academy. The app’s technical and physical training drills have been taken directly from the club’s youth development programme.
