With the easing of lockdown restrictions, Monday 8 March will see the return to school for many pupils across the country, and Chelsea FC Foundation will be there to greet them.

Our Community and Education teams will be back delivering in more than 60 schools next week, with many more set to return in the coming weeks and months.

The Foundation supports schools and colleges right across the south of England from London and Surrey, homes of Stamford Bridge and our Cobham training ground, to Essex, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Middlesex, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

The teams are providing a range of opportunities for schools to get involved with which include physical activities, wraparound care clubs outside of the school day, curriculum based PE and PPA cover during the day and classroom-based education activities which also includes our daily ‘Check-In With Chelsea’ programme.

Alongside all of this, we will be continuing with our virtual offerings with topics such as virtual learning activities, Coaches CPD workshops and player pathway training sessions.

Our Further Education package will also be restarting from next week with students physically returning to our Post-16 Academies, BTEC College programme and St. Mary’s University Degree course.

Simon Taylor, head of Foundation, welcomed the return to school: ‘We’re really excited about returning to working in schools through all of our regions and the Chelsea Foundation have ensured everything is in place to allow us to support pupils and teachers safely on Monday.

‘We have been supporting schools with virtual delivery throughout the national lockdowns and we are very much looking forward to continuing that support with face-to-face delivery in our partner schools.’

We wish everyone a happy and safe return to the classroom, and we cannot wait to see you over the next few days.
